To participate in the 2010 Futurity for Three Year Old Cows, a calf must be nominated and a fee of $2.00 per entry paid by MARCH 18, 2008. All calves born September 1, 2006 to August 31, 2007 inclusive,

Should any condition arise which prevents the showing of this futurity, the right is reserved to call same off and to pay to the persons owning the calves eligible at the time of said calling off, their pro-rata share of all monies accrued in the division called off, after deduction the actual expenses of this association in the promotion of said futurity.

Any calf sold after nomination, the “Futurity” follows to the new owner provided he keeps up the annual payment as per the entry agreement. Animals sold to out of state buyers remain eligible for the futurity if payments are current.

Purses in this event shall consist of all monies received by this association in connection therewith by any of nominations fees, subsequent payments, plus all other monies received from any person or persons or sponsors of this show and etc. except the first payment which may be used for promotion of the Virginia Holstein Futurity. If the board of directors so chooses, also less actual expenses incurred by this association in connection with the promotion and management of said show.

The premium schedule is entry fees and donations minus expenses=Premiums available. 1^st place receives 30% of available premiums, 2^nd place received 20% of available premiums, and 3^rd received 10% of available premiums. The remaining 40% will be divided equally between all entries shown.

Should less than 30 animals show the award shall not be increased on that account and the unclaimed award shall revert to the Virginia Holstein Futurity for the use in the following years futurity. ENTER ALL YOUR HEIFER CALVES!

All entrants agree to be amenable to all rules and regulations of the Virginia Holstein Futurity.

The Virginia Holstein Show Committee is at all times the governing body of this futurity and will decide according to its rules. All matters pertaining to the showing of this futurity are subject to the rules and regulations of the show committee of this show.
