2016 Virginia Sale of Stars

 

Virginia Sale of Stars averaged $2824 on 91 lots as the Virginia Holstein Association
celebrates its 100th anniversary

It was a great evening for a sale in Harrisonburg, VA on Friday August 5th. The annual Virginia Sale of Stars took place at 5:30 pm and averaged $2,824 on 91 lots. The sale was co-managed by the Virginia Holstein Association, Landis Marketing and Daniel Brandt.

The high seller was lot 13 at $9,000. Cool-Lawn Denver 4755-ET was purchased by the Denver Syndicate, Les McCracken of Wisconsin and consigned by Virginia breeder, Cool Lawn Farm. The second high selling animal was lot 14, Progenesis Profit Brandy-ET, consigned by Dr. Pat Comyn and sold to Caleb Lewis from Alabama at $7700. The third high selling lots were both sold at $5000/each, lots 21 and 22 to Gordon Lamb, NY.
